We have updated our bin policy at Ochre Print studio, this notice is to remind our community how this works, and ask everyone who enjoys using our print studio to support us and maintain best recycling practises.
Lockwood Studios employs a private bin contractor, who charges EXTRA if things are put in the wrong bins, and we are trying to do our best to help out …
So strap in!!!
GENERAL WASTE
Our metal bins are for ‘general waste’. This includes soiled rags, anything inky used for cleaning and other waste. However, we are asking if our members can please take home any food packaging as this has caused problems with the recycling system at Lockwood Studios, sorry for the inconvenience!
RECYCLING
Our recycle bins (the white bins) are for paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and metal cans. It is important that anything placed in these bins is clean and has not become inky/oily as this contaminates the recycling (please use the general waste bins for those items).
FOOD WASTE
Lastly, but not necessarily most importantly, our food waste (yep the little food waste bin) is for…‘food waste’…so it’s very important that food is NOT placed in our other bins!
