A Journey Through Line and Print
This exciting weekend workshop with artist and poet, Gary Goodman, offers an innovative approach for combining mark-making with printmaking.

Gary Goodman studied at Brighton University and has been performing and exhibiting since 1987. Exhibitions of his paintings, prints and drawings have been shown nationally and internationally including: National Portrait Gallery, Charleston Farm House, East Sussex, Royal College of Art, London, Atelier Klint, Germany, etc.
He has undertaken many artists’ residencies and workshop and won several awards to travel and create new work.
Gary paints images and writes poems of resounding directness. At once bright and often humorous but fully accepting of life’s inherent darkness, his poems are presented with the emotional and honest intensity that leave the audience rapt.
“I am a painter and I write poetry, often producing my best work when I’m bored. I have had lots of exhibitions in places around the world. I teach at various colleges and universities, run workshops in drawing, painting and printmaking, and I perform my poems live and sometimes record them with a variety of musicians. I like animals and thunderstorms and lots of other things that end up in my pictures and writing.”
