Richard Wise has always been involved with art, with a creative career spanning the last 40 odd years. After studying graphic design at the London College of Printing (LCP), he went on to The Slade School to study Fine Art Printmaking. Richard spent a year as Artist in Residence at Christ’s Hospital School, Horsham. Following this he was offered various part time lecturing across London and Holland, teaching design, illustration and printmaking.
And over the years he set up various printmaking workshops in colleges while running his own small studio in South London, as well as at Acme Studios in Bethnal Green and Deptford before being pulled back into graphic design. He founded his own studio and worked his way up through various design groups, from group art director to creative director, but fine art never left him and he still deeply engaged, working closely with top commercial printers.
