Summer School – Print, Dye, Stitch with Jule Mallett – 16/17/18 August (3 days)
August 16 @ 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM BST£175
Develop and explore your own creative style through print, dye, pattern making and stitch to create cloth for art dolls and textile collage using simple pattern design.
With so many techniques, fabrics and threads available it’s easy to forget that a piece of plain cloth is the best starting point to developing your own artistic voice.
This course will be the beginning of understanding how you find your own authentic style.
Together we will explore and layer different methods of creating colour and pattern on cloth using dye, screenprint and mark making to create a collection of art cloths which can then be taken in to different stitch projects including textile collage; stitch meditation squares and simple doll making.
Have fun drafting, cutting and stitching your own simple doll patterns.
No experience necessary and all materials provided.
