This intensive weekend course, taught by two highly talented and experienced tutors, is offered to those with previous experience wishing to advance their printmaking through the many possibilities available and experience something a little different and more challenging!
Working with two such knowledgeable and skilled printmakers will be an exciting experience.

During the weekend you will be offered an individual tutorial and the opportunity of:
- printing on found materials
- considering scale
- carborundum prints
- drypoint prints
- combining two or more print processes for a single print
- multiple inking
Arriving at the course with some preparatory work would be an advantage, but a theme will be available if you prefer. Printing without a press will be demonstrated in addition to using Ochre’s etching presses and Columbian relief press.
Jane Stobart RE is an award winning Artist, Printmaker and Author working in relief and intaglio processes, which include etching, carborundum and woodcut prints. Her work is part of many high-profile collections including The British Museum and the Smithsonian Institute. She will be teaching with fellow Artist, Lecturer and Academic Mustafa Sidki, who uses relief printmaking with monoprint, wooden type and linocuts to create his unique prints.
This course is only suitable for those with previous printmaking experience. All basic materials are provided with the opportunity to purchase extra plates and papers from the studio shop if required.
