Image Preparation in Photoshop for Screenprinting with James Cockerill – Sadly, this course has been cancelled

July 2 @ 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM BST

An introduction to image preparation using Photoshop to create high resolution halftone transparencies and beautiful eye-catching screenprints on paper

James Cockerill of HALTglass returns to teach this exciting course again, with the assistance of our screenprinting tutor, Jule Mallett – so lots of expertise on offer!

You will explore different aspects of image preparation accessible through the Adobe Photoshop package, including: halftones, photorealistic printing, tonal separation, screen selection and block stencil making skills.

Before the course runs, James will send you image selection recommendations and request a copy your chosen image to advise on its suitability for the course. The aim is to create stunning imagery to take into screenprint!

When your manipulated image has been converted into digital transparencies, Jule will take you through the processes of exposing them onto a silkscreen. Ink colour choices will be discussed and then you will be guided through printing an edition of up to six A4 screenprints in three colours.

Places are limited with plenty of 1-1 tuition. Absolute beginners welcome.

Dates: Weekend 2/3
Times: 10am to 4pm
Cost: £200 / Members £190
