Monoprinting on a silkscreen produces painterly images which cannot be replicated in any other way and the results are often interesting and pleasing. The image is painted directly onto the screen and, because you cannot completely control the ink and how the screen prints the image, there is always an element of surprise.

The possibilities are endless and this technique can be used to print on the kitchen table at home, using an easily constructed ‘jig’ to hold the screen – if you ask, we will provide you with instructions on how to make one!

Suitable for beginners and refreshers alike.
