Experimental Hand Printing Lino – with Mary Dalton – Thursday 14 July – 10am to 4pm

Hand printing lino does not always mean you have to print a nice even area.  In fact, hand printing your lino opens up a huge array of possibilities of different textures and effects that a press would never be able to achieve.

We will be cutting some quick lino cuts to give us something to work with, and you are also welcome to bring along your own cuts.

This workshop will be working with unique prints, where the lino is centre stage, not the edition.  Enjoy!

Founder of ‘Pop-Up Press’ (taking art and printmaking to the people) in 2014, Mary Dalton trained at the Royal College of Art, graduating with an MFA in Printmaking. She has been teaching since 2008, including running the lithography studio at the famous Curwen. Her work is in the collections of the Imperial War Museum and the Tate Library as well as international museums. We are really pleased to have Mary teaching in the studio again!
