Eco-Dyeing and Rust Dyeing with Gill Jenkins and Jule Mallett – Weekend 12/13 September

Over the course of the weekend, Gill and Jule will take you through the processes of eco-Dyeing and rust Dyeing.

Gill will show you how to use leaves, flowers and bark to produce delicate prints on paper and fabric, and then Jule will show you how to use rusty objects to create beautiful patterns on cloth pieces. She will explain the process involved and demonstrate which fabrics give the best results and offer advice on the best equipment and materials for rust Dyeing.

If there is sufficient time on the second day, Gill and Jule  will demonstrate how to create simple books using concertina folding, pamphlet stitch and coptic stitch.

This weekend course is suitable for anyone who wants to explore mark-making using eco friendly materials.

Places are limited to 4 to allow for social distancing. You will be asked to wear a mask and bring your own refreshments.
