Dynamic Printmaking from the Life Model with Sarah Cliff – Weekend Course 18/19 May

This workshop is suitable for all levels of printmaking and life drawing skills.

On the first day, the model will pose in a decorative environment and adopt a number of dynamic gestures to music.

The objective is to capture the sense of movement in simple mono prints and line drawings which will then be used as a basis for dry point, block prints and simple screen prints on day two.

Sarah says: ‘Think Matisse cut-outs and Picasso abstracts rather than Leonardo …. and be prepared to experiment and work freely!’

This workshop will offer basic introductions to printmaking techniques and beginners to life drawing will be provided with guidance on how to capture the essence of the figure.
