An Introduction to Sublimation Printing on Textiles with Jule Mallett
January 25 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm GMT£55
Experiment with colour and mark making to create a wonderful range of different effects on synthetic fibres using dye-sublimation printing.
Sublimation printing is a technique that uses heat sensitive inks. These inks turn into gas under the influence of heat and combine with the synthetic fibres, so the ink becomes part of the structure of the material and the images on the fabric won’t fade or crack – unlike some screenprinted inks, even after multiple washings.
The techniques Jule will show you can be combined and layered to create unique designs and endless possibilities.
This ‘taster session’ is aimed at beginners.
