An Introduction To Cyanotype Printmaking For Beginners with Gill Jenkins – Saturday 14 January – 10am to 4pm

In the days before the invention of the photocopier, Cyanotype was a photographic printing process used by engineers to produce copies of drawings or ‘blueprints’.

In this one-day workshop, Gill Jenkins will take you through this printmaking process, teaching you how to use photographic negatives to produce a picture and also how to use found objects, stencils and drawing onto acetate to create more painterly effects.

You will be working inside on the studio’s exposure unit but will also work on some ‘wet’ solar cyanotypes that will be exposed outside. It doesn’t have to be sunny to create a solar print!
