In the interests of the health of the Lockwood Centre community, we ask that you do not come to the studio if you have been to an affected Coronavirus area, or if you have been in contact with someone who has. Those finding themselves in this situation should be self-isolating, as advised by the Government.

The studio will continue running courses, Open Access and other activities while the Lockwood Centre remains open and we will be keeping the situation under review

For those who continue to attend the studio, we take the current situation very seriously and have introduced sanitisers for visitors’ use when they arrive and sign in plus a regular and thorough cleaning/disinfecting regime of items and equipment in the studio. We have also replaced the hand towel by the sink with paper towels and there are boxes of tissues around the studio and hand cream for those who find the sanitiser too drying. The handcream is ONLY to be used AFTER using sanitiser as it creates a barrier which the sanitiser cannot penetrate. Disposable gloves will be available to those who request them on arrival at the studio and if you choose to do this, we would ask that you wear them throughout your visit.

Surrey Choices/Lockwood Activity Centre is making sure that good hygiene practices are in place and have displayed handwashing posters around the building. There are hand gel dispensers in the reception area and in the toilets. The cleaners are paying extra attention to door handles and handrails and Surrey Choices are having daily updates with their senior team who will update us of any changes.
