View from the Textiles Table
Hello, I’m working alongside Sarah as Artist in Residence at Ochre this year. My project is to document the studio and those who use it to create a body of work which celebrates it.
My first month has been spent drawing, mainly with ink and pen to capture the space, and some of the members.
I’m trying to decide on a way of working, having been a textile and photography technician for the last 3 years, I am thrilled to be able to use a heat press. So far I’ve attended Jule’s Sublimation session which has resulted in a rather colourful series of images on a shower curtain! I look forward to seeing lots of Ochre members during the Open Access sessions…
