As we bid a sad farewell to our wonderful 2024 Artists in Residence, Alice Zakharenko and Roya Pourzadi-Gilham, we are delighted to be welcoming two exciting new Artists in Residence in the coming year, Corinne Mangan and Mona Craven
Corinne Mangan
Is thrilled to be one of the Artists in Residence at Ochre in 2025 and sees it as an invaluable opportunity to push her printmaking forward whilst surrounded by the wealth of knowledge and sense of companionship that comes from the studio’s members.
The inspiration in Corinne’s work comes from the wooded landscape of the Surrey Hills and she hopes to use her residency to build on existing skills and learn new printmaking practices that enable her to reflect the positive mental and emotional impact of this environment.
Corinne sees this as an exciting time for Ochre Print Studio and the Lockwood Centre and feels especially grateful to be part of studio during this regeneration. She would like to thank everyone involved in providing her with this opportunity and looks forward to getting to know everyone better.
Mona Craven
Mona is fine artist who works in an interdisciplinary manner with light, space, paper and textile media to create installations and prints.
Mona completed a MA in Textiles in 2017 and has since reached the completion phase of a practice-based PhD investigating the material culture histories of two cloths. During research she started combing textile, photogravure and drawing, a process which she wishes to explore further.
