Collagraph : Printmaking with Junk and Gunk
The course will be taught by Sue Lowe, who is a member of Ochre and will be exhibiting in the summer Open Studios. Sue studied Fine Art at Farnham, where she spent most of her time in the print studio. She has been teaching printmaking for a number of years in adult education. She also worked as an assistant to Brenda Hartill RE, who (literally) wrote the book on Collagraph (A&C Black Printmaking Series). Sue’s own work is made mainly through collagraph, she has explored the process thoroughly and loves to share her great enthusiasm for the process.
Bring:
A pair of scissors/craft knife, and a few old paint brushes if you have them (if you have them - don’t buy new). Offcuts of mountboard, grey board (backs of old jotters/sketchbooks). Please also bring to share any junk items (textured papers or wallpapers, fabric scraps, thread, wool or string, pressed/dried leaves or flowers, feathers, lace, mesh, sequins …) and ‘gunk’ (DIY pastes and fillers, tile grout, gloss or textured paint) that may be lurking in your recycling or shed.
