A beautiful intaglio printmaking technique without the use of acids. Drypoint etching lends itself to expressive drawings and fluid mark making. With the use of clear acrylic plates your designs and artwork are easily transferred to the plate and, when inked and wiped carefully, produce beautiful and unique velvety original prints.
Mai Osawa was one of our Artists in Residence in 2017 and now leads the intaglio printmaking workshops. This versatile method of printmaking is a good introduction to traditional printmaking and Mai’s four week course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the possibilities of this technique. All materials are included in the workshop price.
